Vietnam ’s stock markets went down on September 29 after two gaining sessions late last week.


The VN-Index at the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE)
closed the first trading session of the week at 479 points, down 4.81
points or 0.99 percent.


Close to 19 million shares, worth over 742 billion
VND, changed hands in comparison with 22.2 million shares valued at
865.8 billion VND on the previous session.


Up to 118 out of 164 shares and fund certificates listed on the HoSE declined while 31 gained and 15 remained unchanged.


Meanwhile, the Hanoi Securities Trading Centre’s
HaSTC-Index dropped 2.33 points or 1.45 percent to finish at 157.98
points. Only 10.53 million shares were traded at over 391 billion VND,
decreasing nearly 20 percent in volume and 18.7 percent in value from
