PetroVietnam Securities Inc. (PVSC), the brokerage unit of Vietnam Oil & Gas Group, plans for its shares to start trading in Hanoi in April, said General Director Pham Quang Huy.
The company will list 48.5 million shares on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, Huy said by phone Tuesday, without giving a specific date. Net income at the Hanoi-based brokerage will rise to VND71 billion (US$3.8 million) this year and sales will reach VND178 billion, Huy said, without giving comparable figures.
A 57 percent rally in the benchmark VN Index last year has prompted Vietnamese companies to list shares. Vietnam Oil & Gas Group, known as PetroVietnam, plans to sell stakes and list shares in at least 16 of its subsidiaries this year, Dau Tu Chung Khoan magazine reported last month.
