The VN-Index gained 0.22 per cent this morning to close at 418.18 points thanks to rebounds among large caps.


Property developer Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAG), conglomerate Masan Group (MSN) and steel producer Hoa Phat Group (HPG) today all rose after successive losing sessions. HAG soared 4.7 per cent while MSN increased 3.6 per cent HPG rose 1.7 per cent.
Real estate developer Vincom (VIC) fell for the fourth day in a row, losing 3.1 per cent while dairy producer Vinamilk (VNM) decreased 0.4 per cent.
Advancers outnumbering decliners by 114-83 overall.
Sacombank (STB) continued to be the most active stock on the southern exchange today with 1.57 million shares changing hands, closing unchanged at VND13,600 ($0.66).
The value of today's trades declined slightly compared to yesterday, reaching VN559.5billion (US$27.2 million) on a volume of 40.3 million shares.
On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index lost 0.46 per cent today to close at 71.95 points, reversing its gain of yesterday.
Today's trades remained sluggish with just 19.6 million shares worth VND212.8 billion ($10.3 million) changing hands.
Losers outnumbered gainers by 157-82, with Kim Long Securities (KLS) again the most active stock nation-wide with 3 million shares exchanged, closing down 2.9 per cent at VND10,700 ($0.52) a share.
