Shares rallied this morning after a couple of down days, with the VN-Index on the HCM City Stock Exchange adding 0.87 per cent to reach 487.64 points.
Gainers overwhelmed losers by 105-84. Trading value declined to VND519.1 billion (US$24.7 million) as over 34 million shares changed hands.

Blue chips had mixed fortunes. Among the 30 leading shares in terms of capitalisation and liquidity, seven retreated while others increased and closed unchanged from the previous session. Refrigeration Electrical Engineering Co (REE) was the fastest rising share, adding 6.2 per cent.

Overall, the VN30 index, which tracks the performance of these stocks, rose 0.3 per cent to reach 567.89 points.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index also edged up 0.3 per cent, standing at 63.18 points.

Most of the listed codes finished at last Friday's prices.
Trading value and volume were VND237.4 billion ($11.3 million) and 29.14 million shares, respectively.
