The VN-Index on the HCM City Stock Exchange fell for the fourth-straight day today. The exchange fell by 1.83 per cent to close at 433.54 points.


Decliners outnumbered advancers by 210 to 39, of which about 70 stocks matched their floor prices.
HDG, down by VND3,500; KSB, down VND2,500; LHG, down VND2,400 and KDH, down VND2,200; all matched their floor prices.
Blue chips fell today, including Bao Viet Holdings (BVH), down VND1,500; VietinBank (CTG), down VND100; Phu My Fertiliser (DPM), down VND1,600 and Sacombank (STB), down VND400.
Masan Group (MSN) was among the few blue chips that managed to rally, after increasing by VND500 in value per stock.
The seven stocks that matched their ceiling prices were all penny stocks.
Trading volume remained steady with 29.8 million shares changing hands, worth VND639.5 billion (US$30.5 million).
In Ha Noi, the HNX-Index fell by 3.09 per cent to close at 98.48 points.
About 249 amongst the 314 listed stocks on the northern bourse declined.
Just eight stocks managed to rally, including VC1, up VND2,700; HLY, up VND2,000; BHV and SPP, up VND1,700 each.
Only 23.2 million shares changed hands, worth VND390 billion ($18.6 million).
