The Board of Directors of Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (stock code VJC – HOSE) has approved to collect shareholders’ opinions about increasing the 2017 estimated dividend payout ratio from 50 per cent to 60 per cent, including maximum 40 per cent cash dividend payment. The purpose of collecting the opinion of shareholders is to make necessary arrangements for the second dividend advance payment of 2017, Vietjet said in its statement.
In addition, Vietjet is also collecting shareholders’ opinions about the change in its business lines and moving its headquarters to Kim Ma Street in Ha Noi’s Ba Dinh District.
The deadline for shareholders to submit their opinion is December 19.
In August, Vietjet advanced VND645 billion (US$28.4 billion) for 20 per cent cash dividend payment for 2017. Earlier, Vietjet also paid 40 per cent bonus shares and finalised 2016 cash and bonus share dividend payment at the rate of 119 per cent.
In another move, Vietjet is giving away 15,000 tickets priced only from zero dong during the golden hours from noon to 2pm at www.vietjetair.com to celebrate its new international routes.
The promotional tickets, available from now until Saturday, are applicable on these international routes -- HCM City to Phuket and Chiang Mai (Thailand), and Da Lat and Hai Phong to Bangkok (Thailand), for travel from November 30, 2017 to March 24, 2018.
Specifically, travel period for the HCM City-Chiang Mai route is from December 12, HCM City-Phuket route from December 15 and Da Lat-Bangkok route from December 18. With these new routes, Vietjet will operate six international routes connecting Thailand and Viet Nam, offering more travel and trade opportunities between these cities.
Recently, Thai Vietjet, a joint venture between Vietjet and Thai airline Kan Air, officially received the new Air Operator Certificate, which is in line with the International Civil Aviation Organisation standards of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand.
