Hoa Binh Rubber Joint Stock Company disclosed business results in 2009 as follows:
  • Rubber production in 2009 was 5,118 tons (102.36% of plan) and decreased by 545 tons (or 9.62%) from the year 2008. The production was down because 503 hectares of rubber were liquidated.
  • Sales volume of rubber was 6,301 tons, gaining 100% of plan. The average selling price of the whole year was VND32,152,000/ton. The selling price was VND10,152,000/ton higher than expectation, but VND9,400,000/ton lower than the average selling price of 2008.
  • Total revenue was VND232,026 million, accounting for 143.58% of plan (in which: sales of rubber was VND202,598 million (146.17% of plan)). Total revenue in 2009, however, decreased VND94,734 million from the year 2008, or down by 28.99%.
  • Profit before tax in 2009 was VND69,985 million, gaining 172% of plan. It decreased by VND18.040 million (or 20.49%) from the year 2008.
  • Profit after tax in 2009 was VND64,033 million, gaining 172% of plan. EPS in 2009 was VND3,731, a decline of VND1,398 (or 27.26%) from the year 2008.
The price of rubber keeps going up. Present FOB price at Hochiminh port is around US$2,970/ton of SVR3L.
