Hoa Phat Group Joint Stock Company (HPG) discloses the business result in the first nine months of 2009 as follows:

Accumulated nine months of 2009, Hoa Phat Group’s revenue reached VND 5,822 billion, profit after tax reached VND 1,048 billion. Accordingly, Hoa Phat reached 82% and 114% of adjusted revenue and profit after tax of the year respectively. HPG’s revenue and profit after tax in Quarter III are VND 2,147 billion, VND 359 billion in turn, increasing 30% and 50% in comparison with the same period last year.

In early October, Hoa Phat Energy Company officially welcomed the first Coke batch. The Coke Factory which has 80 oven rooms will manufacture 350,000 tons per year. Company's Coke will mainly provide for Hoa Phat Integrated Steel Complex and for export. Currently, many foreign steel groups have ordered HPG’s Coke.

Hoa Phat Coke is produced by the clean technology, the most modern in the world and in Vietnam. Pure Coke production bases on the heat recovery technology which burns the whole by-product. The heat recovery in the coke production process will be served for the power factory to produce electricity. In addition, Coke production which applies heat recovery technology does not pollute the environment, decreases the product’s price, saves significant the fat coal import cost.
