Viet Nam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (VNM: VINAMILK) has explained further information for the income statement in quarter 3/2009 as follows:

Total prfit before tax in the consolidated income statement of quarter 3/2009 increased VND283.6 billion (48.61%) in comparison with that in quarter 2/2009 because of some reasons:

* Profit from business activities increased VND113 billion because net revenue increased VND322 billion (12.05%). Encouraging Vietnamese persons in consuming Vietnamese commodities and decreasing cost of goods sold and other operation expenses made the net revenue increase.

* Profit from financial activities increased VND171 billion because the company sold some securities and reversed the financial investment provision.
