Fifty outstanding companies out of 400 members of the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) received awards for their performance at a ceremony held in Hanoi on Oct. 12.

According to Tran Van Dung, HNX General Director, who is also head of the organising board, the awards are expected to encourage efforts by enterprises to get a firmer foothold in the market, contributing to its stability and to the country’s economy.

Such big names Thang Long Securities JSC, A Chau Bank (ACB), Saigon Securities Incorporated (SSI), the Agriculture and Rural Development Bank (Agribank) and the Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (VCB) were granted awards.

The event, jointly held by HNX and the Securities Investment newspaper for the first time, is planned to become an annual event.
