Vietnamese stock market on Tuesday suspended its rising trend with VN-Index dropping 4.57 points to 401.28 points and HNX-Index slipping 0.49 points to 68.43 points.


The total trading volume on Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) and Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) today reached about 80 59.7 million shares with trading value worth over VND1.063 trillion, up 34 percent in volume and 27 percent in value against the previous trading session.
On HoSE, total trading volume reached about 30 million shares worth over VND499 billion, up 8.7 percent in volume and 5.3 percent in value against the previous trading session.
Three share codes reached trading volume of over one million units including SSI, ITA and LCG. Other key stocks, such as MSN, VPL, BVH, and VIC, decreased over VND2,000, and the others, including HAG, HPG, PVD, KDC, PVD, and SSI, fell VND100-600.
Some real estate shares till kept the upward trend like ITA, LCG, KBC, SJS, NTL and DLG with gain of VND200-1,000 per share.
The southern bourse saw 157 losers, 78 gainers and 65 standing still at the reference price by the end of the trading session.
On HNX, there were about 50 million shares worth VND564 billion being traded, up 55.8 percent in volume and 55.2 percent in value over the previous trading session.
Northern bourse liquidity today has marked the highest level since June 21.
The high trading volume was mainly thanks to key stocks, such as KLS, VCG, VND and BVS, of which, the trading volume of VND reached over 7.6 million units, marking the highest volume since being listed on the HNX.
At the time of closing, except BVS, three remaining shares gained points, including KLS VND11,800 per share), VCG (VND13,400 per share) and VND (VND11,400 per share).
Foreign investors on HoSE today shifted to net-buying after 2 straight net-selling sessions with over VND38.5 billion, while they continued their 3rd net-selling session in a row on HNX with about VND4.5 billion.
On the southern bourse, their net-buying session today focused on SSI, STB, DPM, KDC, and MSN with VND9.69 billion, VND9.21 billion, VND8.93 billion, VND7.86 billion, and VND6.14 billion respectively.
In terms of net-selling, they focused on MKP, KBC, CII, VIC, and BVH with VND2.96 billion, VND2.82 billion, VND2.77 billion, VND2.34 billion, and VND2.27 billion respectively.
On the northern bourse, leading net-purchased stocks today were KLS with VND4 billion, and PGS and PVI with over VND3 billion each, while net-selling stock was VCG with value over VND19 billion.
