News of CPI drop in November had no positive impact on
the domestic stock market. The indexes of both southern and northern
bourses saw sharp decreases on the third trading session of the week.


VN-Index plunged to the lowest level since January
2006, closing at 311.74 points after losing 8.59 points or 2.68% while
HASTC saw a 5.4% decrease or 5.68 points and officially closed below
the 100 point mark, at 99.56 points.


Both trading volume and value on the Ho Chi Minh City
Stock Exchange continued to drop today as over 9.8 million units
matched for VND 251 billion in this session.


The southern bourse welcomed one more stock listed
today, TRA of Traphaco Joint Stock Company. Ending its first session,
only 630 TRA was traded at VND 63.500 a share, down VND 15.500 a share
compared to the reference price of VND 79,000 a share.


Only 27 out of the total 171 stocks listed on the southern bourse managed gains.


Also, only 27 out of the total 161 listed stocks on
the northern bourse were gainers. Trading volume and value on the
bourse, however, increased compared to the previous session.
Specifically, investors changed hands 7.65 million units worth VND 197
billion, up 40% in volume and 32% in value against Tuesday session.
