The domestic stock market continued its downward
spiral on the last trading session of the week. The VN-Index closed one
whole week of decline, losing another 21.01 point or 4.23% today,
closing at 476.


After six consecutive dropping sessions, VN-Index lost a total of 82.56 points. Trading volumes also reported falls.


On today's session, only over 15 million units were
matched for VND 575 billion. Bids were weak while offers were strong,
thus, a majority of listed stock were losers. Specifically, of the 162
listed stocks, only seven managed gains. As many as 131 stocks, out of
the total 152 losers, hit floor prices.


HASTC-Index also saw a 5.12% loss (8.67%), closing at
160.62. Investors traded over 6.3 million units worth VND 267 billion
this session. There were only five gainers against 143 losers out of
the total 149 listed stocks.
