The second annual ceremony to present “reputable stock brand names” golden cup awards for 156 companies listed and unlisted on the Vietnam Stock Market was held in Hanoi on October 11.

At the ceremony, Nguyen Thanh Ky, general secretary of the Vietnam Association of Securities Businesses said that the jury chose 100 listed companies, 30 unlisted companies, and 26 brokers to receive awards.

This year’s recipients included the Vietnam Construction Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation, the Vietnam Milk Joint Stock Company, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Insurance Joint Stock Corporation, Bao Viet Insurance JSC, Tay Ninh Rubber JSC, the Joint Stock Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam, and the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank.

The awards honour businesses’ success nine years after listing on the stock market and their achievement of equitisation.

With a combined owner equity of more than VND170,000 billion, total assets of VND850,000 billion and turnover of more than VND350,000 billion, the winning businesses annually make a significant contribution to the stock market and national economic development.

Last year, 142 businesses received such awards.
