The State Securities Commission has ordered stock brokerages and financial institutions other than fund management companies to cease offering portfolio management services, consistent with the Law on Securities. The commission said it would co-operate with market inspectors on this requirement and would fine any violators.

This year it targets net profit of more than VND12 billion (US$670,000) on a turnover of VND430 billion. In the first half it achieved a profit of VND7.2 billion against VND2.6 in the same period last year.After recently opening a new factory, it expects a turnover of VND584 billion next year and a net profit of over VND19 billion.
