A series of winners on June 24 helped the VN-Index increase
another 7.02 points, or 1.9 percent, to close at 375.97.

Trading
volume declined to 6.77 million shares compared with 9.78 million on
June 23, with a reduction in sales. Total value traded reached 172.15
billion VND (10.4 million USD).

Of 156 codes listed on the HCM
City Stock Exchange, 103 were gainers. Blue chips were among the codes
hitting remarkable highs, including Sacombank (STB), Vinamilk (VNM),
Phu My Fertiliser (DPM) and Saigon Securities Inc (SSI).

FPT and Pha Lai Thermal Power Joint Stock Company (PPC) rebounded after days of decline.

Foreign investor transactions were modest with over one million shares and fund certificates bought, and 34,000 units sold.

Market
observers said institutional investors stepped up buying-in on the day
due to the optimistic news released recently by the Government and
various international institutions.

The Hanoi Securities Trading
Centre went the opposite direction, with the HASTC-index sliding 0.6
points or 0.5 percent to close at 109.88. Trading volume fell 45
percent to about four million shares, with a total revenue of 78.38
billion VND (4.75 million USD).
