The VN-Index this morning remained almost unchanged from Tuesday's session after posting earlier losses. It closed the day at 409.40 points. On the HCM Stock Exchange, losers outnumbered gainers by 113-84.


Market value jumped 66.6 per cent against yesterday to VND510.8 billion (US$24.8 million) on a volume of 30.2 million shares.
Although the volume of trades increased 54 per cent compared to yesterday, property developer Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAG), the most active code, saw just 58,300 shares change hands.
Of the 10 leading shares by capitalisation, software giant FPT (FPT) hit the daily increase limit of 5 per cent and Vietinbank (CTG) – which yesterday announced good first-half business – advanced by 4.3 per cent. Phu My Fertilisers (DPM) and property developer Vincom (VIC) climbed 2.6 and 0.8 per cent, respectively.
Meanwhile, PetroVietnam Finance (PVF), Sacombank (STB) and insurer Bao Viet Holdings (BVH) tumbled between 0.7-1.5 per cent. Three other codes closed unchanged.
On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index also fought back from earlier losses to edge up 69.92 points.
Ninety-five codes managed gains while 128 lost ground.
Trading value marched 5.3 per cent higher than yesterday to VND175.6 billion ($8.5 million) on a volume of 16.5 million shares.
Kim Long Securities Company (KLS) claimed the highest trading volume nationwide, with 1.5 million shares exchanged.
