Dang Thanh Tam, who holds shares of four big corporations worth 13,700 billion dong in accordance with the December 31, 2009 price, has become the richest millionaire stock investor of 2009, according to Dan Tri newspaper.

The list of the 10 richest millionaire stock investors has changed compared with the list released half a month ago, with the updated stock prices of December 31:



1. Dang Thanh Tam (KBC, SGT, ITA, SQC)
2. Doan Nguyen Duc (HAG)
3. Pham Nhat Vuong (VIC, VPL)
4. Tran Dinh Long (HPG)
5. Nguyen Thi Kim Xuan (KBC, SQC, SGT)

Dang Thanh Tam holds 67.5 million KBC shares, 60 million SQC shares, nearly 16 million SGT and 12 million ITA shares.

The shares are worth 13,710 billion dong in accordance with the closing price on December 31, 2009, an increase of 4,050 billion dong in comparison with December 18.
Tam returns to first position after he added 60 million SQC to his investment portfolio. SQC shares on December 31, 2009 have the price of 149,600 dong per share. SQC has been put into transaction on the Hanoi Stock Exchange as of December 17.

Kinh Bac City (KBC), Saigon Tel (SGT) and Saigon-Quy Nhon Mineral (SQC), the three listing companies, are the subsidiaries of the Saigon Investment Group (SIG) where Tam is the chairperson. SIG also plans to list shares for Western Bank and Navibank on the bourse in the future.

Tam was the richest stock millionaire in 2007 and then fell to the third position on the 2008 list.

The richest stock millionaire in 2008, Doan Nguyen Duc, now ranks second for 2009. The 146.6 million HAG shares held by Duc are now worth 11,440 billion dong in accordance with the closing price on December 31, 2009.

Pham Nhat Vuong ranks the third with 85 million VIC shares and 20 million VPL shares, worth 8,949 billion dong.

The three leaders on the list have asset valued overwhelming higher than the assets of the remaining top 10. The total value of shares held by the three persons is 34,100 billion dong, while the value of shares held by the other seven persons is just 12,250 billion dong.
Tran Dinh Long, Chairperson of Hoa Phat Group, ranks the fourth with assets of 2,981 billion dong. The fifth position is held by the wealthiest woman, Nguyen Thi Kim Xuan, who holds 2,604 billion dong worth of shares.
