The VN-Index passed the 500 mark yesterday, backed by the advance of almost all listed shares on the HCM City Stock Exchange.
The Index ended the session at 501.49, gaining a rise of 4.76 per cent.
Market turnover stayed high, reaching VND1.36 billion (US$76.4 million) on more than 31.6 million shares. Foreign investors accounted for 5.6 million.
Hoa Phat Group ([url="http://www.vietstock.com.vn/vstfinance/StockDetail.aspx?scode=HPG&q=HPG" target=_blank>HPG), once again nailed down the spot as most active share with 2.5 million traded yesterday, accounting for 9.5 per cent of market volume.
