Both key indices this morning declined after a strong rally yesterday. On the HCM (http://finance.vietstock.vn/StockDetail.aspx?scode=HCM&q=HCM&language=en) Stock Exchange, the VN-Index lost 0.9 per cent to close at 439.57 points. Losers outnumbered gainers by 117-89.


Trading value dropped slightly compared to yesterday, standing at VND627.3 billion (US$29.9 million), while trading volume rose 17.6 per cent to 37.4 million shares.
In the group of 10 leading shares in terms of capitalisation, only insurer Bao Viet Holdings (BVH (http://finance.vietstock.vn/StockDetail.aspx?scode=BVH&q=BVH&language=en)) gained, ending the morning at 0.6 per cent. In contrast, six shares declined and three closed unchanged.
Two codes – property developer Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAG (http://finance.vietstock.vn/StockDetail.aspx?scode=HAG&q=HAG&language=en)) and Sacombank (STB (http://finance.vietstock.vn/StockDetail.aspx?scode=STB&q=STB&language=en)) – slid nearly 1 per cent. Meanwhile, Vietinbank (CTG (http://finance.vietstock.vn/StockDetail.aspx?scode=CTG&q=CTG&language=en)), Phu My Fertilisers (DPM (http://finance.vietstock.vn/StockDetail.aspx?scode=DPM&q=DPM&language=en)), software giant FPT (http://finance.vietstock.vn/StockDetail.aspx?scode=FPT&q=FPT&language=en) (FPT) and food producer Masan Group (MSN (http://finance.vietstock.vn/StockDetail.aspx?scode=MSN&q=MSN&language=en)) lost between 2.8 to 4.4 per cent.
Sai Gon Securities Inc (SSI (http://finance.vietstock.vn/StockDetail.aspx?scode=SSI&q=SSI&language=en)) was the highest traded share with 3.1 million changing hands. However, it ended the session down 0.8 per cent.
The HNX-Index also dipped 0.6 per cent, ending 75.63 points. The gap between losers and gainers was narrow.
However, market value reached VND715.9 billion ($34.1 million) on the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, jumping 64.8 per cent from yesterday's session. The volume of trade climbed 74.7 per cent, reaching 66.4 million shares.
Kim Long Securities Company (KLS (http://finance.vietstock.vn/StockDetail.aspx?scode=KLS&q=KLS&language=en)) was the most actively traded code, with 5.6 million shares changing hands.
